BRACCIANO LAKE
Bracciano lake is a large volcanic lake located in the regional park of Bracciano Martignano a stone's throw from Rome. Its surface is about 56.5 km² and its maximum depth is about 160 meters. The lake is characterized by a rich biodiversity and is densely populated by the predators of our interest: Pikes and Bass. The grasslands that cover the bottom of the lake up to a depth of 10/15 meters are well populated with all sizes of pikes, specimens that exceed 120 cm are not rare.
SALTO LAKE
Created in 1940 by damming the Salto river in the valley of the same name, Salto lake is the largest artificial basin in Lazio region, with its 10 km2 of surface and 280 million m3 of capacity. Its dam, 90 meters high, was for a long time the highest dam in Italy. For its construction, 6 inhabited centers were demolished and rebuilt on the banks. The fish fauna of the lake is rich and well populated by three interesting predators: pike, perch and asp. Pike's fishing in this lake can be really exciting, the average pike size here is definitely big!
